Re: New Driver Doesn't Work (Workcentre 7225)

Problem solved.  I added the printer straight from the System Preferences, skipping the driver download altogether.  What's the point of distributing a faulty driver when it isn't even necessary to download one?

Just to confirm: I selected the download for the operating system we are using (OS X El Capitan 10.11.13). Also, I tried using the previous driver from the last computer I configured (only 3 weeks ago or so) and it won't allow me to install that driver at all on the new laptop.

New Driver Doesn't Work (Workcentre 7225)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

My organization uses MacBook Pro's and prints on a Xerox Workcentre 7225.

I just received a new laptop today, and I'm trying to install the print driver.  It doesn't work.

I get this error message when I type in the IP address of the printer/copier:  "The printer model at this address is not supported by this installer.  To continue, choose a supported model or enter a new IP Address or DNS Name"

I'm using this installer:  http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-7220-7225/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=macosx...

Apparently it was updated just yesterday.

Help?
