Problem solved. I added the printer straight from the System Preferences, skipping the driver download altogether. What's the point of distributing a faulty driver when it isn't even necessary to download one?
My organization uses MacBook Pro's and prints on a Xerox Workcentre 7225.
I just received a new laptop today, and I'm trying to install the print driver. It doesn't work.
I get this error message when I type in the IP address of the printer/copier: "The printer model at this address is not supported by this installer. To continue, choose a supported model or enter a new IP Address or DNS Name"
I'm using this installer: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-7220-7225/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=macosx...
Apparently it was updated just yesterday.
