New black toner - tells me it's empty

Product Name: Phaser 7800
Operating System: Windows 10

I have been struggling to replace the black toner. First time i had to replace the black.

We have 2 high capacity toners in stock, both show empty when trying to replace. 

Accepts the toner, but shows 0% status. Install date of toners show correctly. 


- Replaced magenta to see if problem occurs. Magenta recognised easily.

- Tried resetting the memory, nothing works. I'm stuck.


Machine is basically useless now, is there a way to manually reset the % status of a toner so I can use it? 



Yes, these are genuine HC toners with the right serial no. for the region.

If replacing the toner is not clearing the message I would suggest that you call into the support center @ 1-800-835-6100 for additional help.  I searched the online knowledge base and could not find any instructions on how to reset the % of the toner level.

If the toner is original and for your region, it could be a hardware problem (toner dispensing system) and I will recommend you to have a tech for diagnosing your printer.
