Thanks for the reply.

The printer is discoverable, I could ping it when it had a static IP, and I can discover it in my "add printer" And in my "Xerox Desktop Experience" AND my "Xerox SmartStart" applications.

However (UTTER STRANGENESS HERE!) I opened the Xerox Desktop Print Experience and couldn't find the B405. There was just a chevron saying "install Printers". So, (What the heck...) I clicked on the chevron. It went to "discovering printers" and came up with TWO printers: Xerox B405 (Installed), and Xerox C405 (Install?). I installed the C405 printer and the test page actually printed! The printer shows up in Windows Devices as Xerox B405 PS, and it printed a test page from the "printer properties" option on the drop-down menu.

 

I guess the problem is solved, but I don't know how it happened.

Thank you all for your help. If you have any other suggestions I would be open to hearing them.

Check firewall settings, make sure you can "ping" the printers IP address.  Check settings on printer to make sure they match what the computers are expecting.  If the network settings don't allow comms to fully reach the printer then nothing else works.

Additional info: I cannot access the web interface either. It sys it is not responding.

New computer, B405 not printing

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I ha ve just set up a new computer on the LAN. (Windows 10 64). The drivers installed OK and the B405 is discovered and added into the Devices, but I cannot print to it. Windows simply returns an error. I do not see the test pages showing up as an "Active job" on the printer.

Did I mis a setting on the printer that allows jobs to be submitted from other nodes on the LAN?
