Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

A local technician here Xerox he works for said to change the duolexing upper chute assembly.
We have already take on those parts but the motor in the back we did chabge the duplex motor in the back. We did change the gears and the belt it will work for some time then stop again. You know it will stop when the machine starts up then you hear the loud grinding noise coming from the left side of the printer.
And paper jams in same place when we cleaned it one time started jamming in the chute then I played with the belt a bit cause it would get real tight and then it will loosen up and work again but now I play with it rocking it front and back nothing happens

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

Take out all the assemblies from the drawer (registration, 2nd BTR, vacuum transport, fuser, decurler and inverter). Release the duplex tensioner and rotate all the duplex shafts to see where the worn is (if). Also take out the registration/transport motor (behind the machine, in the right of the main motor) to check the gears on it.

Good luck!

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

Well was asked to buy a duplex motor and 2nd btr roller i did .

Well the roller was because the prints were coming out dirty and the old one wasnt cleaning well

Now asked to buy a duplex upper chute assembly, to assist with the paper jams. this unit is quite costly, i hope it fixes it. cause we are able to print duplex then after a few hundred sheets we get a jam. when you try to rotate the duplex belt it is very tight, not sure if that is normal. it sometimes so tight wont rotate in one direction and very hard to do so in other direction.

Really need some help please

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

Jam is appearing from all trays,

Well were

I'll try to get a video so you guys can hear the little grinding sound that occurs and will try to get a pic of the gear that we think is causing it.

thanks

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

If the jams appear just from duplex and from trays 1-3, could be also from the registration/transport motor 007K98040. In that assembly there is a small gear that could be broken and did not have part number.

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

An update we replaced all the gears, the problem still existed there was a very loud griding noise to the front left of the machine

We cleaned out that area well removed the gear and rollers and it is now duplicating there's still a bit of a grindign sound it seems to be coming from the registration gear region we took a look at one the gears and it seems to have worn down, strange because that was replaced like a month and half ago, seems at if the top part is running against somethin gor used to be running while the machine was jamming cause of the error with the duplexer

Anyway thanks for all the help and suggestion we'll continue working again on machine

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

The same as before 077 130
The jam in like the pass like when they are to go down then be pulled back up again to go on the reverse side.
It doesn't generally happen when the machine has been idle for a while but once we are running a few hundred sheets or so it starts happening.

And we have a few 1000 booklets to be printing beteeen now and end of June

What fault code?

Re: No duplexing letter size sheets

What really happens is that after the printer had been off for a whole say overnight or so, you can run a few hundred pages duplex then it starts jamming. Any idea why?
