Re: Noisy paper feed

Hi Peters-one,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. First make sure that the machine is on a level surface. Second make sure you are using paper within specifications for the machine.  Try a new ream of paper.  If the problem continues please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Noisy paper feed

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

I have a Docuprint CM205fw colour Laser Printer that is wired by Ethernet cable to my iMac 27" desktop computer running Sierra 10.12.6.

The problem is in the document feed. There is a loud, ratchety kind of sound coming from the printer as it picks up paper from the feed bin. I have had this printer since new and although it is getting on in years, it has not been overworked.

I am an aged pensioner so have not been enthusiasticly pumping out paper. I may have gone through possibly 7 reams of paper and two full replacement toner cartridges at the most. But I can only remember replacying the colours once. I cannot believe the problem is wear and tear.

Any ideas please?
