Normal Printing Default

How do you stop the 3260 Phaser from defaulting to 'normal printing' (obligates printing 2 pages on a single side of the printed page) every time you print a document? Normal printing is one of the favorites on the menu but it can't be deleted and I haven't found a way to defeat it as the default. Isn't there a way to defeat this, and 'lock' the printer so your 'last used' setting becomes the default?
