Re: Odd size paper size in PDF file

If your goal is to get all pages on the same paper size then doing so through Adobe is the most efficient thing to do. If you actually need the job to print with mixed media and it's just these few odd pages that are causing you trouble then you can set exceptions within the Fiery job properties for those specific pages. From job properties click on the media tab and at the bottom of that section you can set exceptions for specific pages to print them on whatever size paper you define.

If I take off the print by paper size in Adobe it will print without a problem.  So would it be an adobe instead of the printer?

Re: Odd size paper size in PDF file

This is a good question. What kind of print controller does your machine have? There are still a lot of DocuColor 252's in operation but it is an older generation of Xerox machine that had a wide range of available print controllers. It could be one of 2 types of Fiery controllers, FreeFlow, Splash, or Creo.

Odd size paper size in PDF file

Product Name: DocuColor 242/252/260
Operating System: Windows 7

I print pdf documents that contain both legal and letter so I must click  on chose paper souce by pdf page size.  But sometime the file will have a scanned document with weird size in the middle of the file.  Such as 8.5 x 12 or 9x12 etc.  This will stall the print job searching for paper size.  Any suggestions on how to get the document to force it to  print on letter or legal size.
