Got open heat error on Xerox m20i. Just replaced fuser with new unit. Still have same error. What's my next step?

Re: Open Heat Error on M20i

Hi,

If you replaced with the correct p.n. 104N00036 (110V) or 104N00037 (220V), it is possible to have problem with Main Board or with Power Supply.

Re: Open Heat Error on M20i

More info to help diagnose the problem. The fuser was replaced with the correct one. The dealer tested both my original fuser and the replacement one and both test good.

So.....

Could the problem still be the power supply, or can we rule that out because if it was bad it would have blown the fuser triac? If so, does this leave the main board as the likely problem?

It could be the Power Supply unit, because the fuser is powered by it.
