Re: @PJL COMMENT XRXbegin @PJL COMMENT OID_ATT_JOB_OWNER on Xerox ColorQube 9203

Does this happen with all print jobs, or particular ones, from all users?

When you say the driver is fine and you are printing correctly from another server. Are you using the same printer device. Or printing to different printer evenif on the same model?

We tried removing the driver and package and reinstalled but having the same problem. We know the driver is fine as we are using it on another windows 2008 R2 server without any problems.

Unfortunately, restoring or snapshots isn't an option. We will work something out.

Thanks for your help.

In my opinion, I would completely remove the driver and package and reinstall it. Or install the lastest driver version for that device.

I am aware that might be some time consuming if this is a production environment and you have to move lots of printer objects depending on that driver...

Apart from that you can try some DR technics such as restore or snapshots is you have it place and it would apply.

Re: @PJL COMMENT XRXbegin @PJL COMMENT OID_ATT_JOB_OWNER on Xerox ColorQube 9203

Thanks for your reply RuiC-Xerox.

That's correct. I'm using the PCL driver.

Testing printing directly to the printer using the TCP/IP port. I tried steps 1 thru 3 but the extra page still appears.

I'm thinking too that there is a corurpted file. Using the the same PCL driver on another server works fine.

Re: @PCL COMMENT XRXbegin @PJL COMMENT OID_ATT_JOB_OWNER on Xerox ColorQube 9203

Hi CaymanGovt1,

I assume you are using the PCL driver. This is the instruction to be printed on the banner.

Based on what you mentioned on your post.I can not remember anythign else but the banner page or a currupted file causing this.

To avoid removing the print driver can you try these: Assuming you printing directly to the printer (TCP/IP port)

  1. Using the server driver printing defaults and printing preferences (Must be done on both). Configure the banner page to enabled. Apply and OK on both (printing defaults and printing preferences). Attempt to print directly from the print server.
  2. On the print server create a new printer object. Point to the print driver. Attempt printing.
  3. Using printer management console. Reinstall print driver.

For the multiple page printing... This might be a driver instalation issue. 80% of times it is, and based on my experience associated to:

  1. Driver instalations on print server done as "printer on the network" instead of local printer
  2. Driver re-instalations without removing previous driver packages.

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can shed some light.

I'm running a Windows 2008 R2 server and installed the CQ 9203 PCL64_5.145.12.0 drivers. Everything was wokring fine. Starting today, our users are now getting an extra page with the lines @PCL COMMENT XRXbegin @PJL COMMENT OID_ATT_JOB_OWNER as seen in the image. If disable the banner sheet but that didn't make a difference.

It seems to be server related, as if I install the printer and print directly from my PC to the printer, the extra page doesn't appear.

I also tried the PCL 6 drives from the server but that begin to shoot out numerous pages. Any ideas?
