When trying to print pdf files, the dialog box gets corrupt. The dialog box is huge and the text is either missing or unreadable. This makes it impossible to print pdf files. Nevertheless, it has worked before and I haven't made any major changes in either SW or HW previously. I have reinstalled the printer drivers as well as the Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
I don't know what else I can do so I need help, this is useless!!!
yep , seen that before ... are you still running on the original firmware?
If yes , call xerox for support and ask for this firmware release : WC7120_1.206.0
Also update the drivers i posted earlier , the global one 5.185.32 in the printing forum ...
Lots of fixes in that release :)
Grtz
We just purchased a WorkCentre 7120 and have been having a lot of problems printing PDF files. The most common problem is that an error message stating that the print job failed; sometimes after getting that message the PDF will print 5 or 10 minutes later. But usually before that time the user cancels the job.
Several times it will print a header page where under the username it will stated "Unknown @Port 9", then it will start printing many pages with a row of "garbage", or ASCII characters. What I'm assuming is that the print driver is not able to read the PDF. I thought it may be the version of Adobe Acrobat, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
My users are rather heated over this and are breathing down my neck - so I would really appreciate any help.
