Sorry, there should be no possibility of all those options giving the same results.
In the Freeflow webui <IP of FFP>/web> right click the queue and enable the hot folder
Then on the client PC go to Start > Run and do an SMB connect via \\<IP of FFPS>
Then drag and drop your pdf onto the print queue in the new window. If it is still bad, the driver and the app have been eliminated as the cause, either the queue has been corrupted (create a new one) or someone has made changes to its properties (I won't make guesses, but these are the locations they would be in)
Thanks for the answer. I exported the material as a PDF/X-1a:2001 document. I have also tried all the available color management options (Managed by Acrobat, Same as source (no color mgmt) and Colors managed by the printer). Sadly, none of these gave any difference.
Sounds like you are printing from Adobe Acrobat/Reader and not telling it to let the printer determine color
I apologize in advance for the lengthyness of this post:
We have a Xerox Color C60/C70 with a FreeFlow box on the back of the machine. We are publishing some PDF fliers prepared in InDesign which we then export to PostScript and make a PDF using Distiller. The PDF includes some screenshots (but this also applies to vector graphics) that do look allright when exported to PDF, but when printed, they are noticeably brighter. Subtle bright colors are printed as complete white.
The picture shows a part of a screenshot that’s in the material. The screenshot is a CMYK JPEG image imported into InDesign. Looks all right in the PDF, prints way too bright.
When we’re exporting the InDesign file into PS, the color management tab says Color Handling: Let PostScript Printer Determine. Preserve CMYK numbers is checked.
The Distiller is exporting to a standardized PDF using FOGRA 29 as the CMYK color scheme. The output PDF looks fine on the monitor, as I said.
Other things printed on the printer (Word files, webpages) seem fine-ish, however, this concerns practically all PDF documents we create.
We do have a company servicing the machine for us, but they seem to be unable to aid us resolving this. I’ve been trying to find out how to resolve this forever now, but it looks like it’s a dead end for me. I’d be really grateful for anyone’s advice how to get this sorted.
