Hi Jason,
Did replacing the LED Print Heads fix your problem?
I recommend you a Xerox rep.
All the best for you!
Gabi
Thank you for the quick reply.
We let our service agreement with Xerox lapse for this machine. Can this installment be handled by a local service shop? There are two here in Rhode Island that I can think of that repair Xerox units.
Or do you recommend a XEROX rep handle this?
Jason
No. The LED PRINT HEAD have p.n. 130K72653.
Hi,
Yes, because are some parts that need to be disassemble: front cover, one plate that hold the dispensers, ATC PWB, to raise the dispensers for affected colors, the developer plate, developer housing and at the end the LED PRINT HEAD. If you have a SM and if you are a skilled man it is not so hard to do it. Otherwise you need a tech.
Good luck!
Do you mean this item here: http://www.office.xerox.com/product-resources/604K66430/enus.html
Hey thanks! that's interesting. But we need to have the tech do this for us?
Hi,
From my experience, you shoud replace LPH (Led Print Head) for affected colors. Of course you need a tech.
Where it affects all colors it can't be a drum, if it was the belt, it wouldn't repeat so closely, it is most likely to be the transfer roller.
Our Xerox 7500 is printing 'lines' or streaks in cyan and black. (see photos)
We already followed the printing problem suggestions and cleaned the imaging units using the wand.
We replaced the CYAN imaging unit today, no change.
We replaced the Cyan toner today. This didn't fix the issue either.
We replaced the fuser / belt cleaner assembly in January and according to the machine, we still have 90% life left.
The transfer roller still has 40% life left, I don't think I've ever replaced this in the machine.
The unit has 85000 prints on it.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.
