Re: HiRe: Pages underdone on left side

Hi Gabi - Ummm. I've had a dig around in the innards and the help file.
Unfortunately, the help file doesn't mention either the "imaging unit" or the "laser unit windows".

I must be missing something obvious?

I did clean the "Color Toner Density (CTD) sensor" even though it had no alert; and I dug out the Drum Cartridge and cleaned the Feed Roller, but this has not had any effect.

The pages still come out with very pale left sides, and full density on the right.

Hi Gabi - thanks for the reply. I'll get out the help file and then get back with the results, could take a couple of days.

HiRe: Pages underdone on left side

Hi,

It could be from the imaging unit, but try to clean the laser unit windows with a dry cloth. For this you must take out the imaging unit.

Pages underdone on left side

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 7 x64

I have a CP305d, both drivers (PCL6 and PS) installed, the PostScript is set as default.  The printer is fed from the router, and is used by a Win7 x64 HP box and a Win10 laptop.  I do not normally use the PCL6 driver as it seems very complex with large bits that I do not understand.

All my pages now print the left side very faded, graduating to fully exposed on the right.  I cannot see any matching fault in the help system.  At 8 years old, I suppose I could simply junk the beast, but this is the only fault I can find, and it is otherwise quite reliable.
