If clearing the paper and powering the printer off then on again is not clearing the error message service is needed.  Please use our contact page below to locate a dealer in your area.

Paper Jam error without any actual jam

Product Name: WorkCentre 7220i/7225i

Good day,

My WorkCentre 7220i is showing the error "Clear jam on left center printer page cover" (translated from german: "Stau an linker mittlerer Druckerseitenabdeckung beseitigen". I have looked closely at the area behind cover A, and cannot see any stuck paper anywhere, yet the error does not go away, even after restarting the printer multiple times.

Can you tell me how to clear this error? I assume that the sensor may have malfunctioned or perhaps a cable has come loose there causing the error message.
