I have the same error message. Jam at Exit; open front cover.
Did all the steps in the suggested articles but no luck.
Opened all the different parts of the printer and there is no paper to be found.
One suggestion I found was to clean the exit sensor, where is it located? I was unable to find it...

Hi Dub,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for paper jams from the tray and see if these will help. If not please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We have a Xerox Phaser 6140. Recently we have been getting the message to replace the Imaging Unit. I asked our IT manager about it, and he came back and looked at it, removing the imaging unit and then placing the printer back together. Ever since then, I can't print to this printer any longer. When the printer tries to pull the paper through the feeder, it jams. The message "Paper Jam at Tray 1" appears on the screen. I can print through the bypass feeder, but not from the paper tray. We have been comparing the cost of the imaging unit compared to the cost of the printer, so we will probably end up buying a new printer. But in the meantime, I need this printer to keep working! I have been over this printer time & time again, and can find nothing that would appear to be causing this. I hate to give up on it, but I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?
