Hi lvanvugt,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the installation instructions for the 2nd tray.  Yours does not seem to be registering so make sure you have followed the all the steps.  Also make sure that all the packaging tape and materials have been removed from the second tray.  You should see Paper Tray Configuration under the installable options on the device settings tab. If it still does not recognize the tray please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Paper Tray Configuration is not showing on Device Setting for Pahser 6500

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Just received the extra 250-Sheet Feeder that I have bought for my Phaser 6500. I have installed the feeder per manual. Wanting to test it tried to select the paper tray from y printer dialog, but do not have the option.

Opening the properties window for the Phaser 6500, the tab Device Settings is there but it,s not showing the Paper Tray Configuration option (see screen shot).

Restarted both printer and laptop, but to no avail.

 

Anybody tips on how to get this working.

 

Notes

  1. Phaser 6500 was laready installed some weeks ago and was working OK
  2. I am running Windows 8.1
  3. Phaser is setup is network printer
