Paper jam message won't clear

Product Name: Phaser 6022
Operating System: Windows 10

My xerox phaser 6022 keeps on showing message asking me to clear paper jam from paper tray, and open back cover, even after everything was cleared. I tried unplugging for more than 1 minute several times, but problem could not be fixed. now I can't do any printing. what should I do?

Hi,

See this post. Maybe will help you. It is possible to be a piece of paper on a sensor or a dislodged sensor.

Thanks for your information. I did what the post suggested. took the plastic guard thing out, checked everything, nothing to find. unplugged again for one day, and still have the same message. no printing can be done. What else can I do?

What fault code is displayed?

printing status: Paper Jam has occurred. 077-900

077-900 indicates there is a paper jam in the exit area (fuser- that one with the green levers). In the fuser assembly there is also a sensor and it's actuator. SO, remove the back cover and check that area

Thanks Gabiene, I checked the green levers area, lifted up and down several times, and nothing worked.

Have you removed the back cover?
