Password admin, login to administrator panel

Jump to solution
Product Name: Xerox B235 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

Hello, I recently purchased a Xerox B235 MFP multifunction printer for my company. Unfortunately, I am not able to log into the device settings. I do not know what the factory administrator password is (and what login ... whether upper or lower case ...). This information is not in the manual.
I tried 1111, I tried the serial number, admin / admin combinations. I also did a software update. No effect. I am asking for help ... why do I need such a printer if it cannot even set the IP address: /

  1. From the printer’s control panel, press Settings.
  2. Press Device.
  3. Press Maintenance.
  4. Press Out of Service Erase.
  5. Place a check mark on the Sanitize all information on nonvolatile memory option and press Okay.
  6. Place a check mark on the Start initial setup wizard and press Okay.
  7. The printer will display a screen indicating that the machine is restarting. You will be prompted on startup to walk through the device’s initial setup wizard.

From the Embedded Web Server:

  1. From a computer (on the same network as the printer) open a Web browser.
  2. In the Web browser address field, enter the IP address of the printer and then press Enter or Return. The printer home page will be displayed.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Device.
  5. Click Maintenance.
  6. Place a check mark on the Sanitize all information on nonvolatile memory option.
  7. Click Start.
  8. The printer will display a screen indicating that the machine is restarting. You will be prompted on startup to walk through the device’s initial setup wizard.

Note: If the issue persists, power off the machine, wait for 30 seconds and power the machine back on. Then repeat the procedure.
