I tried to install (from provided CD) driver for xerox phaser 3020 on a Windows 7 os and it gave me an error code (0000090 ) as it said installation wasn't successfull. The software and wifi connection were successfully installed , though.
I downloaded the driver for Win7 from xerox site, but that didn't work either.
Normally that error message that you are getting could be an issue with the .NET Framework. Would need the full error message that you are getting to detreme exactly what is happening.
Are you using Win 7 64 or 32 bit ?
Are you able to see the printer on the network ? (Pingable ?)
Hmm, I would make sure that you're virus scanner is turned off, Check the Windows Firewall settings.
Make sure you are using the correct driver version.

I even checked the Microsoft site just to be on the safe side. But only thing that I was able to find was a reference to the Error 0x00007a. Which if you look up, might have something useful.
I tried the solutions that you offered, I read the links but I didn't find the registry entries specified there, so I didn t delete anything because I didn't know what ro detete'... anyway I remembered that the first time I tried to install the driver, the antivirus firewall was turned on. I turned it OFF, then tried to install driver but... it failed with the same eror! I even turned the antivirus OFF alltogether, but that didn't matter either.
I really don't know what to do...
