after testing those few days, i can say - yeah, i don't really have such problems anymore, thanks for support, i'll be looking to test more, once again, just to be sure
but yeah, this is my first xerox device, too - and i'm not such disappointed as you are, but i have some strange "flavour in my mouth", that doesn't mean that are bad/failure products as long the support is good
I have been having the same problems:
I bought my Phaser 6020 in September 2016 and I followed the installation instructions to the letter using my Windows 10 64bit PC.
Not always but randomly this printer would become inaccessible via Wi-Fi, after variable periods of between a few hours and perhaps taking up to two days to disconnect itself, the only way then is to disconnect and reconnect the power which causes a printer reboot and which I’m sure will shorten the life of its internal components that inherently are not designed to last more than a couple of years in the first place on a low cost printer such as this one.
I have had excellent assistance by phone from Xerox in the Philippians (I live in the UK) in one session lasting over an hour, at their request I installed their App giving them remote control of both of my PC’s whereby Xerox deleted and then reinstalled Xerox software on both my wife’s and my PC, however none of this fixed the issue. Also the firmware was updated to the latest 01.05.06.30.3939 ver.
I have had two visits from Xerox technician none of whom fixed the problem, then on a third visit the printer was changed for a brand new one and the two technicians who came installed its software for me . . . however the problem still persists. So I give up !!!
This model Phaser 6020 clearly has a design fault and until Xerox wake up to this problem and fix it with a firmware update, my advice is . . . DO NOT buy an Xerox Phaser.
ok, done with testing, and no, after this few days, thing isn't working properly as it should
EDIT: Ok, my fault - SORRY to You all guys, I was connected on wrong WIFI access point (actually was RIGHT error - offline printer), actually was hotspoting my mobile phone WIFI signal which is not used to make connection/attach between my computer and Phaser 3020, so let's give a try for another couple of days
dont click on properties, click on "printer properties" :)
about the picture, i've got these three xerox printer phaser 3020 items shown, and when i open them all, i can't get so much informations as you got (clicking on Properties i just got - "General" and "Hardware")
Does it make any difference if you go between RAW, to LPR, or IPP (if Mac)
How about SNMP, does it work if you disable that on the port? How about LPR Byte counting?
Have the same problem since I've bought Phaser 3020 in 7th month this year.
I have tried with installing new firmware and drivers, and - same thing again, printer so often goes stand by / sleeping mode so it won't print and I need to unplug than after few seconds plug again and it starts to print. Don't know anymore what to do?
Have you tried a firmware update?
