Hi Joe,
As i promised, i came back with the results.
Few days passed and the fix works as it should on both of my PC's.
Thank you. Your advice was spot on and did the trick.
small update.
I wrote an arbitrary name "aaa" in the LPR queue name and it started to work. I will report in few days if it worked. I need to see that the fix is permanent and not IP change occuers.
Hi Joe,
Appologies for late response. I was so angred by the printer and wasted time that i decided just to use Google Cloud Print and now even that don't work.
When i tried to change to LPR mode, i got an error "The queue name is not valid" and the change cannot be done.
Have you tried switching between LPR and RAW and disabling LPR byte counting and SNMP in the port?
I bought this printer for home use and really wanted to use printing over WIFI.
Soon after initial purchase and setup, printing was not working. I tried numerous time to reconfigute with Xerox wireless printing wizard, it didnt worked.
I realized that IP of the printer is always changes from 10.0.0.3 up to 10.0.0.8. So i tried to reconfigure my Netgear router, IP reservation and what not. I replaced the router to D-Link. IP didn't change but it was not printing, only few mintues after initial setup.
I decided to uninstall Xerox "Easy" printing suit and it seems that was the culprint.
The error occured on 2 laptops with Windows 7,
Printing with Google cloud always worked, but i wanted regular printing instead of sending to Google for a print.
How do you configure printers over WIFI?
If you do not reserve IP how can PC print correctly when IP changes?
