It certainly is not normal, I'd return it to Xerox and keep using the old one in the mean-time assuming it works OK.

Phaser 3330, Clicking noise after installing new drum

Hi everyone,

 

I have a Xerox phaser 3330. After installing a new drum and toner, The printer is making a clicking noise whenever it prints. The sound is coming from the drum; I put the old drum back in, and the noise went away. The printer still seems to be printing perfectly, its just making this clicking noise now. 

 

Is this normal for a new drum (I don't remember the printer making this noise when I first set it up).

 

Btw, everything is geniune Xerox supplies. The drum is 101R00555 and the toner cartridge is 106R03624
