I am having this same problem with my Phaser 8560. Regardless of document margins, the page prints off-center leaving a wider margin on the right. It has nothing to do with the paper size or which paper tray I use.
I have been told there is no way to fix this, but I find it hard to believe that a 2 year old machine with less than 20,000 copies could become worthless because of inherent problems in the printer. This is an issue which needs to addressed because, evidently, it is affecting more than one printer model. I am a graphic designer and this affects my work tremendously.
I'm sorry that the link didn't work for you. Instead, follow these steps to get to the solution.
I hope that this helps! Please let me know if it does not though.
I forgot to mention that you'll need to scroll almost all of the way to the bottom of the solution before you find the information about fixing your registration issue. I hope that this solution gets you up and running again.
Hi...actually the answer to this problem is in the Xerox Online Support Assistant here on Xerox.com. Here is the link to the Phaser 4500 Knowledge base.

My phaser 4500N b/w laser printer produces pages with the left registration misaligned 1/8" to the right. To clarify: It prints all documents as if the left edge of the page begins 1/8" inward on the page. This happens under all settings and circumstances. It becomes very apparent when attempting to print edge-to-edge; the left 'edge' has a margin, and the right edge, although met by the printer, the document is cut off by 1/4", due to the misalignment.
Does anyone know a possible solution/fix to this problem?
Is there a way of realigning the tray? There is no documentation or information concerning misalignment in the printer driver software or reference guide. On the printer there are no realignment options. Thanks!
