Re: Phaser 4500N printing garbage

Neither the latest Xerox 4500N PCL or PS driver works 100% of the time.

Re: Phaser 4500N printing garbage

Hi denna,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please try the PCL driver and see if that fixes the issue.  It sounds like postscript errors.  If the PCL driver does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Phaser 4500N printing garbage

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Under Windows 8.1 64-bit with the latest printer driver from Xerox.com, the Phaser 4500N printer frequently prints out garbage characters from Internet Explorer 11 and Windows XPS Viewer.

The printer has to be turned off and the paper removed from the paper path.

Rebooting sometimes, but not always, can allow printing to come out correctly.

I read a web page that mentioned that, in the registry, the DependOnService key shows RPCSS http.

Would a firewall be causing this ?
