The print cartridge does have a drum, this may be damaged and that could cause this line.
By just reading your post I would suggest its the toner, but you can check THIS link, as it could also be the fuser roller.

A Phaser 4510 print here in my office prints fine EXCEPT that on every page there is a medium gray vertical line that runs the entire length of the page. The line, a little more than 1/16" wide, is about an inch from the right side of the page. The line prints on all print jobs even on the configuration pages. The toner is almost new. The roller inside looks fine. The printer does not seem to have any toner that needs to be cleaned. I would be very appreciative if anyone is able to provide info about how I can resolve this issue.
