I know this is almost 4 years late but to whoever that gets the same issue in the future, try lifting your printer's right side where the cartridges are and shake your printer so that the ink inside the cartridges reach whatever place they are supposed to reach.
Just did it and it worked for me, yay
Hello Joe, thank you for your suggestion.
Unfortnuately, the situation didn't change: I kept it unplugged for longer, and when it came back online, same situation: a little engine is heard trying to start, then it stops and the two lights come on: ! and K.
Any keys that can be pressed to trigger a self-check, or some other hard-reset kind of "shortcuts"?
Thank you!
That probably is the cause, unplug it for 5 minutes and hope it resets when it comes back on.
Hello,
I have a Phaser 6000 color printer. I ordered and changed the cartriges on the printer, both black and all CYM.
The colors have been recognized, but the black indicator keeps blinking. The error displayed is: 093-933 (change cartridge).
I put another new black cartridge in, and the same situation is happening: ! and K blinking.
Could this be due to the fact that I stopped the printer while it was doing it's post-new-cartridge calibration?
How can I get it to re-try that calibration... the problem now is that, since it doesn't recognize the new cartridge, it doesn't even try to do anything: when I take black out and reinsert it, close the toner door, and a small engine is heard trying to start, but then it stops and ! & K start blinking.
Thank you for any help... hope I won't have to throw away this nice printer:-(
