Phaser 6010 driver for macOS 11- Big Sur

So... It's 2023, and the current macOS is 13.2.1 (Ventura).

I REALLY need to upgrade to macOS 11, and you guys STILL don't have the driver for it.

I have a perfectly operational Phaser 6010N with 1000$ of toner in it. I am not going to throw it in the garbage. 

Do you guys want to be sued for planned obsolescence? What is going on here?

Hello Chris,

The macOS 10.11 and macOS 11 are two very different Operating Systems. macOS 10.11 is El Capitan and was released in 2018. The macOS 11 is Big Sur released in 2020.

Hi Chris,

I'm not working for Xerox internal so can't provide any information on where they are working on. But in all the years working for a partner i see the MacOS printer driver issue all the time. Happens again & again with new releases from MacOS. 

I would suggest to you to make sure there are printer drivers available for your model on the new MacOS update BEFORE upgrading. 

My experience is that people do click the update button immediately when there is a notification, whitout double-check what the changes are which where made in the new update. So with feature updates; please check if your peripheral equiement is still compatible with the new OS.

However, this page ( https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/article/en/x_6130_en-O40499 ) says: "Xerox is currently working on Mac OS 10.11.x drivers for this printer. In the meantime, contact Apple Support to help you temporarily disable the Mac OS 10.11.x's System Integrity Protection. This will allow you to install the Mac OS 10.10.x driver (followed by re-enabling the System Integrity Protection) and use your Xerox device. Xerox recommends that you wait for the official driver release for Mac OS 10.11.x."

Does this mean one is coming soon? I need to print! Thanks!
