Iam facing the same issue.
Phaser 6010N Printer keeps printing multiple copies automatically.
After one print it says load paper (even though the paper is already there) and if you press ok, it will print another copy and this keeps happeing.
I even updated the firmware today but same thing is happening.
Hi mgeorgetti,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have the latest firmware, it looks like there is an update available that is newer than what you have currently. These is the solution for updating the firmware. If the problem s continue after the firmware is upgraded please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We have a Xerox Phaser 6010N that has been giving us grief lately. It is in an art classroom where students print pictures on a regular basis. A lot of time, seemingly randomly, a student will print one copy of a picture but the printer gets stuck in a loop where it will keep re-printing the picture over and over again. Sometimes pressing the Canel button stops the loop but other times the printer has to be power cycled.
Another issue that may or may not be related is the printer randomly displays an out of paper message despite there being paper in the tray. Usually, taking the paper out and putting it back in does the trick.
I see that the latest driver is from 2011 so I'm pretty sure we have the most up to date one installed. Is it possible that the firmware needs to be updated? It is at version 201103021010.
I should also add that this printer is networked through a Windows 2008 R2 server and the client computers are running Windows 7 x64.
Thank you in advance for the help.
