My 6010N has the same jamming problem when the wrong paper is set. This is usually by accident, and not by the intent to print on another paper size. I have loaded A4 in the tray, but many programs/ new installs default to US Letter, so sometimes one of them sneaks through.
I am mostly happy with the printer, but this is the only printer that I know that really has a physical jam when the wrong paper is set. Other printers stop with a Load Letter message, and even then print without visible problems when one presses 'continue' with only A4 in the tray.
I would think Xerox could handle a paper mismatch more gracefully. (Driver poll for paper size in tray, scaling print to paper, or even print a partial page...)
If you want to print a different size, then set the tray (ON THE MACHINE) which you wanna use to the correct paper, and choose either the correct paper or correct tray to print from in the application.
It's important that it is set to the correct paper size and weight, if not the parts in the machine may get damaged.
If you only want to print A4, set it as default on the machine and in the printer driver.
Hi, we got WorkCenter 6015N and we had this issue also when printing leter size paper since the default is A4 on the machine. Whenever the user print a letter size or other size than A4 the printer only print the 1st page and the 2nd page goes JAM. Then when I clear the jam it prints again the 1st page until I cancel the job. Then I have to print again and modefy the properties of the document to be in A4 size, but this is a headache since the printer is deployed in small group of people.
Guys any suggestion or solution, thanks in advance!
No, but xerox service fixed it for me. The service man apparently just disconnected and connected a bunch of wires inside, and then it worked again.
Have you found any solution to this problem?
I have a Workcentre 6015 with the exact same error message. As it tries to "feed" the paper no paper moves and I get the error message instead.
Hi,
I purchased a Phaser 6010N printer the other week, and I've made a couple of nice prints with it. Since yesterday, however, it refuses to print at all. It gives me a solid red light (!) and the following message on the display:
Paper Jam
Set paper and
Press OK Button
075-100
Tried replacing paper in both trays and several restarts. Checked for paper jams both in the tray and in the back (there simply is no paper stuck in there). Been using the same paper all along: "Xerox Premier Laser Copier Inkjet", A4, 80g/m2
Does anybody know a resolution to this problem?
Best regards
