Hi Golden_co,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for faded print. If these soutions do not help please consider contacting your local support centre.
When I initially received the Phaser 6022 printer, I was able to print to regular printer paper and lightweight 60lb card stock without issue. When the intro toners ran low, I was horrified by the cost of XEROX cartridges and replaced with 3rd-party cartridges from my favorite BIG on-line seller. It seems the print quality issues started at about the same time, but I am not certain.
In the lower left image (60lb card stock), the borders of the upper right recipe is always faded, experiences over-print (is that the correct word?) where as the remainder of the page mostly prints correctly. The upper right image is the back side (no duplex printing here!) of the same document in the left image, but printed on standard printer paper. The document prints correctly on the front, but leaves significant toner tracks on the back. The toner tracks align perfectly with the green border on the front.
When printing other documents on standard paper, quality seems good with no flip-side toner tracks. I don't print any other documents on the 60lb stock other than recipes for my business. I don't have a good comparison.
Since this all seemed related to using 3rd party toner, I replaced all the cartridges earlier today with XEROX cartridges, yet the problem persists. I have since cleaned and adjusted all possible mainenance settings on the printer, but nothing seems to improve the situation.
I read somewhere, maybe this forum, the printer has toner "hoppers"...could it still have 3rd party toner in the hoppers and will perhaps improve with a few more recipe printings?
Other suggestions?
Thank you -
