yes here is an answer, a bit late but never mind
Basickely the problem is due to bad timing in clutch and/or clutch that are a bit sticking to the roller
so the rollers are turnin one rotation too much and the paper optical sensors think that the paper is too long...
What I did,
I took out the left plastic cover, I took out the metalic schield that protects some rolls and a clutch
I cleaned everything and remount all with a bit of wd 40
I also put some wd40 in all the gears and clutchs that I found
I cleaned the paper rolls an pickers with bit of soap, water and dish cleaning sponge
and the problem diseapears...
the prints are well centred on the paper and the print position is always at the same place
Right now it works as a brand new one

i strongly believe that you use refilled toner so:
1) the color toners have different chip - i think that all 3 toner should have the same brand chip, or
2) the chip that the toner(s) use is incompatible with the device..
I am very ungry and disappointed with xerox because we do not have an official and correct answer.
(not to mention that each original toner costs 90€!)

Hi,
same here.
The problem is that we have 3 6121 MFP out of 4 that are experiencing the same behaviour since a few months.
We tried to explain the reason and ended up with two possible causes:
- The firmware is time bombed... :smileywink:
- The "new" replacement cartridges have some difference in size or in sensor placement.
I suppose this is the best guess, because the latter to show the problem is the least used, so the replacements were installed later than the other 2..... mmmmm
And the monochrome print uses one color cartridge and not 4, so the path / the processing is different...
Somebody has a comment to share ?

Hi!
I got exactly same problem.
Monochrome printing is ok, but when it prints in colour, image gets shifted towards the top edge of a sheet more and more with every new page printed, eventually it ends up with a fuser jam.
Have any solution?
Hello
i tried, and the problem is now more complex.
If i try to print in monochrome, i have no problem. perfect align and print.
if i print in color mode, i have a jam on fuser.
I think there are different paper path for color and monochrome print, but i dont find any difference.
Any idea?
Greetings
Alex
