Phaser 6140 DN, print cards with a special format

Hello,

i have the printer Xerox Phaser 6140 DN. I would like to print cards with a special format 17cm x 11cm. How does it works?

At the moment, my steps are:

1. I changed the format on the printer menü and set it manually

2. In MS Word2003 I changed the Page Settings also manually to the new format.

3. Now when I print a card with the new format, the result is bad

How should I set up the settings, to get a good result?

Thank you

Re: Phaser 6140 DN, print cards with a special format

Hello tadeus,

There are instructions for printing on custom sized paper when using a Microsoft Windows OS in the Phaser 6140 Knowledge Base here on Xerox.com/support.  I have copied a link below to take you to the Knowledge Base.  Once at the KB page, type the following in the search field (without the quotes) "Print Custom Size" and then press Search.  This will display several solutions - you're going to click on the first solution, How To Print on Custom Paper Sizes When Printing From a Microsoft Windows OS.  This solution will start by asking you to choose which driver you are using, PostScript or PCL.  Once you decide, the instructions for setting everything up will be displayed.

I hope this helps you get setup to print your cards!  Good luck and let us know if you need more help.
