Hi,
Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.
First check to see if there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).
As per Joe053204-xrx advice check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.
After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".

Hey ...
I am having this exact same problem now after having this wonderful printer now for my 12th year.
Dont know why? Reinstalled driver, Turned printer on and off, Changed network cable ... it now longer finds the printer. I can not find the printer in the router control panel either. What to do?
Carsten
I am having the same problem...it was working just fine but then went offline...cannot access the printer webpage...printer connected to router via ethernet...checked cables...restarted printer multiple times...still cannot find what is wrong...
Hey!
The problem is that the printer does not have a valid network setup, do you have the info/settings that should be used?
If so we can try set it to static and enter it manually.
You could check the cable between the router and the printer, and also go into the router interface and see if the printer is connected or not.
Thanks!
I do not know how to Ping the device from my computer. I also don't know if it's out of range of the DHCP Server. Note...this is NOT a wireless printer. It's connected via Ethernet cable to the router. My computer communicates wirelessly with it but only because my computer is communicating with the router. So I'm not sure whether being in range of the DHCP makes a difference since it's connected via ethernet?
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm not sure how to know if the printer is getting a valid IP address/gateway/subnet from the router? I can tell you that when I turn off the printer and turn it on, it automatically prints a configuration sheet and the IP address just shows up as zeros. Not sure how to fix that though.
Have you attempted to Ping the device from your computer?
Also, when Kimzi asks if its a valid IP address we also would like to know if its out of the DHCP range of the DHCP Server (or most likely Router).
Heya!
What operating system do you have?
Do the printer get a valid IP-Address/Gateway/Subnet from the router?
Thanks!
My Phaser 6180 just recently stopped communicating with my computer. I have it running into my Router via an Ethernet cable. It's in one of the ports on the back of the router. About two weeks ago it just stopped printing. If I print something, it will appear in the queue but it says "offline". I've tried shutting down the printer and re-booting. I've tried plugging it into a different port on the router. I've tried downloading and reinstalling the drivers. I've also tried deleting the printer and reinstalling. I currently have a long USB cable running across my office just so I can print and that works. If I run the troubleshooter it says it can't find the printer on the network. Help!!! This is so frustrating!
