i should have mentioned this is a win10 machine. again, i tried with compatibility mode as well as the straight install
it's definitely extracted correctly. the windows install wizard sees the .inf but doesn't recognize it as a valid install file
Perhaps you have a .zip file management issue.
The driver file downloads as a .zip file from the Xerox website, for example UNIV_5.759.5.0_PS_x64.zip with a filesize of 36.3 MB. Make sure you have unzipped the download .zip file into a known target folder in a known location, and then point the Windows driver update process at the unzpped target folder. If you point Windows at a .zip file it will likely produce an 'unrecognized file' type of error.
Same problem here. I tried the universal driver but still no color. Was unable to install the pcl or postscript drivers even when using compatibility mode. There was an error that the driver was not a recognized file.
Thank you so much @barryroad
I however, did try the link. Seems like the driver is only for x86 platforms.
For anyone else that has x64 based platform, here is the link for the x64 Xerox v3 Postscript driver.
-->V3 Xerox Global Print Driver PostScript - Xerox Global Print Driver - Xerox
