My 6250 is prining okay but teh colors are really washed out. I have a new fuser, Imager etc and new full toners.
Black prints gray so I guess this maybe the problem.

I printed out that page (side 1 and 2) then decided to swap the imagers from the other 6250 I have to the one I am using now. The difference is there however the black still shows as gray.
I attach are images also from Service Page and Usage
Also could it be a setting or the driver as both 6250s are the same with the black/gray and it may have been when I changed or updated drivers.
I am confused.

Trouble is, I have tried two imagers that are really quite new. One is a little better than the other however both don't give me the black I need.
Is there a way to 'test' the imager unit?
Maybe the channell from the toner to the imager is somehow a bit blocked?
How would I check that too?
If the other printer can print, how does it output look like?
There is no way to test the imaging unit other than putting it in another machine.
I can see the Xerox logo missing magenta between the different imaging units which tells me a failed magenta housing on one of the units.
You also have good magenta on one of the imaging units which tells me it's not the 2nd BTR or you would have no good colors.
I suspect you have two defective imaging units.
I would buy a new $200 color laser printer over a new imaging unit. It would be cheaper.
This printer is16 to 20 years old (when color Xerographics was in it's infancy (look at the manufacturing timestamp near the input for power)) and not very reliable/smart design compared to a modern printer. Also any new imaging unit you purchase is probably manufactured over 10 years ago. Some parts wear out(drum organic coating), other parts time out(drum's coating ability to hold a charge, seals), and this imaging unit has subparts that do both.
Alternativly you can file claim on the imaging unit(s) for not making life. I'm not sure the process on that.

I'm hesitant to recomend an A4 that prints gloss well, as I have no experience with my customers printing on that. The inserts, any printer can handle. For laser, typically the slower it prints, the better gloss looks. (I'm talking heavy saturation though).
What city do you live in? There is hopefully a demo office nearby. I would bring a file on a thumb drive and some gloss stock and try them out.
I'm a repair techncian so the machines I never visit are probably the best
C500/C600, have never visited except to warn customer I will bill them next time for abuse. Then I never visit again. They seem to be very reliable.
C400, visit once in a blue moon to clear a jam
6505, visit once in a blue moon to clear a jam. Though there are complaints on this forum about IQ on gloss printing. Not sure if those are one offs. Which is why I recomend finding a demo room.
