I had the same problem when I first got this machine with the cyan and yellow dots. It was resolved with new cartridges sent by Xerox. However, I JUST changed both my Cyan High Capacity and Magnenta cartridges (spent hundreds of dollars) and now I'm getting a strange wave pattern on both colors across the page (machine was working fine before I changed cartridges). My warranty recently expired, and I did not renew it (caring for a sick family member, and let it lapse). I am SO frustrated. Xerox, can you tell me about your 100% satisfaction guarantee? You should have this issue well documented from me when I first starting using the printer.
I cannot afford to buy new toners. Can I get some help?
cyan has tiny dots you almost can't see, that are 0.75 then 0.5" apart. and magenta is 1" apart
i measured the last one to be 3", that was black. blue just started doing it, OEM, about halfway through it's life. so i'll measure that next
Hey!
if you are sure it's about three inches then it's probably the Cleaner roll which actually is a part of the toner package on this machine.
do you have an exact estimation?
Thanks!
looks like every 3 inches. if i replace the cartridge the new one is fine. but it seems to keep happening after a while to most new cartridges
At what interval do the dots repeat on the page? That interval will tell us which part is defective.

thanks, that's what i looked at when i cleaned it. can't immagine it needs a new print cartridge after 400 pages due to a flaw in it. contacted support by email and they pointed me to the same help article, even though i say i've already cleaned it.
Hi digitaldoodle,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at this solution I found on the support page for your machine and see if it helps. If not you would need to contact support in your area.
I am getting a pattern of black dots down the page. This is a new printer about 400 pages printed. It happened the other day with blue and the guide says to clean the lens. Finally found that and it cleared it up. But it's not working with the black. I've cleaned all the lens's checked for any debris, can't see anything. Not sure what else to do.
