Thanks Cheryl! I tried the first thing earlier and will try the second now.
Hi Whitneyb,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please try these two things to see if it helps.
Select the [Print as Image] Option in the Print Driver
The PDF may print gibberish or print an error sheet with a PostScript error (for example, Offending Command) instead of the intended job because of a corrupt embedded image or information in the document that cannot be interpreted properly by the printer.
Try printing the document as an image by selecting [Print as Image] in Adobe.
If that does not work try changing the port designation as follows.
Modify the Print Driver to LPR on the Microsoft Windows OS
lp
(must be entered in lowercase) in the LPR Settings field. If none of this works please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Our 3 person office has shared a networked Phaser 6280 for 2 years without a hitch. It's a secondary printer, but is used several times a day. Our company switched to a virtual desktop interface 6 months ago and suddenly our connectivity has been sporadic. I'm the one who uses the Phaser the most, so I decided to connect it to my computer via USB. I cannot get it to consistently print anything now. Drivers are installed on the physical desktop as well as the virtual desktop. While printing PDFs in particular, I get PDL errors or 016-20 errors. Most of the time it will calibrate, process (message is USB DATA), then drop the job. Other times it will suddenly print one line of jibberish on endless pages until the job is deleted. I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, scoured forums online, read the manual (seriously), cycled power, restarted the machine, everything I can think of. Our IT department is confounded. This thing is driving me nuts - I never had a problem until I connected it to the VDI box directly. But network wasn't working either. Any suggestions? I'm about to go Office Space on the thing in the back parking lot!
Thanks for any advice!
