Re: Phaser 6500 Toner Slot Won't Close

I have the xerox Phaser 6500 and the toner slot won't close.  I already tried the cartridge in another slot and vice versa and it appears to be the printer slot that is the issue.  I cannot visually see anything broken or out of place.  I did see a video that mentions a toner chip.  Can you expand further or think of any other reasons the toner slot won't secure into place?  Can it be popped off and put back on as it feels like it's not securely in place?  Where I can purchase toner chips if it is indeed missing or is that just on the toner itself as in my reasearch, I see it both ways - or are there two different chips?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkHVtqXPgI

Re: Phaser 6300 Toner Slot Won't Close

It's either an incompatible cartridge or something is there to obstruct it that should not be, pop out Cyan and Magenta and see what is different on the printer, or compare the new and old Magenta re-order/part numbers

Phaser 6300 Toner Slot Won't Close

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I'm changing out a Magenta cartridge and the slot where you put the cartridge won't close all the way.

If I take the cartridge out it will. Put it in, it won't.

Nothing is obstructing it as far as I can tell, it's about a half centimeter away from closing all the way.

I can't get it shut to lock it into place.

HELP!
