It should only be like this 192.168.221.212  - does it work if you write it in like that?

Are you connected to the printer?

Kimzi, thanks for your help, however, I'm still having problems with this.   Thanks to your explanation I found the IP Address but when I type it into the address bar of my browser I get the error (see below).  I'm not sure but I think my problem could be due to the way our IT department has something setup or I'm just not understanding your explanation.

 

Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)

Your requested host "ip_192.168.221.212" could not be resolved by DNS.
The host name may be misspelled.

Heya!

 

If the printer is installed correctly on your PC, you can go to "Devices and printers/Printers and Faxes" and right click the printer icon, choose "Properties/Printer Preferences" and go to the "Ports" tab, press on "Configure port".

 

Here you can see the IP Address used to print to.

Kimzi,   Thanks for yhour reply.  How do I fid the IP of my printer?  When I select printer properties I don't see an IP listsed.  Our company uses intranet so I don't know if this is different.

Heya!

 

You should be able to see the toner level status through Centreware(the printer interface) write in the printer IP in your internet browser, go to the Status tab and then Supplies Status

Phaser 6350 supply status

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

My 6350 Phaser won't print.  I'm sure it's out of toner as this has happend in the past but this time I can't view the printer status when I go to printer preferences.  Also I can't print the Supplies Usage Page from the printer menu.  If I set the color options to black and white I can print documents.  I will order new toner if I can verify which cartridges I need.  I used to be able to open the printer preferences and view the printer status but that option is no longer available or I can't find it.
