Re: Phaser 6360DN Print Problems

Hi Scott1

Assuming that the toner that is on there is fused (Doesn't wipe off) the main component at fault would be the Imaging Unit.

But, First take out the Black toner and give it a shake (This is likely to be messy, do so carefully and inside a bag if possible)

See after putting the toner back in if it helps.

Next try this , it has helped a lot of people with a lot of Phaser models.

Lastly replace the Imaging unit (drum), but do so last as this option has a cost, where the other are free (Assuming you didn't do this with the shaking thing ;-)  )

Phaser 6360DN Print Problems

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I know this printer is rather old but it is virtually brand new and I'm told it has not printed right from the beginning. They set it aside. It has been sitting around the office and I'm either going to  fix it or scrap it.

What happens is that it does not print virtually anything in B&W except the very edges of the page. Maybe. In color mode it has alingment issues but will print a full page. It will ony do black text if you print in color mode.

I'm posting a picture of the test page it prints. As you can see it only printed some of the text on the left side and a little black in upper right. I'm told this is what it did from the beginning. Guess it should have been returned as defective.

Any ideas? I hate to scrap a basically brand new printer.

Thanks for you help.
