Thank you for using the Xerox forum.


Many times these messages are displayed because of machine measured light prints so I would suggest that you try the following solution on the Xerox 6500 Support site. Replace Black Toner Soon, Life Almost Over Message

By removing the cartridge and shaking it, the remaining toner may flow again.

Phaser 6500 Black low message

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I love this printer but just got my first 'Black Low - replace soon' message.  No problem, I ordered a replacement cartridge which will be here tomorrow.

Why won't anything print now?  It says "Ready black low" and I would think that low doesn't mean empty.  How can I continue to print between now and tomorrow?
