Re: Phaser 6500 Print Out Stripes

Ouch....

No liquids, lint free rag, Compressed air.

Causes can be a bad toner cartridge (broken), toner installed incorrectly, due to how many places it has gotten in that one, I would think it wasn't seated properly just due to the fact that it doesn't look spilled, it looks like it sprayed.

Re: Phaser 6500 Print Out Stripes

Thanks. I cleaned the lenses and the Imaging unit and that seemed to eliminate the strips, but how do I deal with the mess in the printer (see pic).  First question is, how do I clean the compartment.  Is it safe to use an air duster?  Second question is, what can I do about the magenta color, which seems to be leeking?  Third what is causing the leak?Imaging Unit pic.jpg

Phaser 6500 Print Out Stripes

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I've got a Phaser 6500 and I've started getting vertical strips of inconsistant color.  The printer is about 6 months old, and it is a personal printer that gets used very infrequently.  Any help on how to get rid of the strips?
