Re: Phaser 6500: color shift during print run - excess magenta

Hi bobjoha,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the instructions for color balancing and see if that will help in your situation.  Have you installed the Pantone color calabration tables from Xerox.com?  If not try those as well.  If the problem continues please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Phaser 6500: color shift during print run - excess magenta

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

printed 400 sheets of heavy cardstock 80# 8.5x11. Panel prompted to replace magenta and i did. Noticed magenta on inside of door and around cartridge. Vaccummed it up replaced cartridge. Everything appeared fine for probably 150 sheets then I noticed all colors shifted by presence of excess magenta. Demo sheet on regular paper looks normal. It also appears as if the colors in the print file are being interpreted differently.

Is there a document to print for color balance test?

I loaded the pantones for adobe illustrator and appied them to a logo. It came out with blues almost purple anything with magenta seems to have way too much.

Any ideas?

Bob
