I purchased this printer after our last Xerox quit working. No color bleeds and never a jam.
It wakes to submit reads and supplies, though typically around midnight, but my guess is the time is just wrong on the printer.
In any case, disable this, or change the time it tries it, if this changes the time it wakes, or stops in completely, you will know why it happens (Set it to noon and you won't notice)
Thanks the for reply.
The section you referenced configures how the printer powers down. That is not my problem.
The problem I have is the printer turns itself ON every 24 hours.
Every evening around 8:40pm it powers on, makes a bunch of noise like it's about to print something, but doesn't. It idles for a couple of minues then powers back down.
This is extremely annoying. The printer should only power on when I send a print job to it.
Hi,
Check the User Guide http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/6510/userdocs/any-os/en_GB/Phaser_6510_sfp_ug_en-us.pdf (Page 164 - Configuring Power Saver Mode).
