The organization I work for ocassionally has just picked up a Phaser 6510 to replace their older printer. It works fine except for one large problem. Once the printer goes into Sleep or Low Power mode, it does not wake when print data is sent to it, meaning the employees have to constantly MANUALLY wake it to print by pressing the 'Power/Wake' button on the top before they print things if nobody has printed anything for 10 minutes or more as the printer will have gone to sleep and does not wake itself up when a print signal is sent.
The printer is connected via ethernet to predominantly Windows 10 machines. It does not have the latest firmware (yet), but some research says it could be a port issue?
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have set the sleep option correctly. Also check that the port is set correctly:
