Could someone post the directions for a 6600? Below is the original thread with Fortway instructions that work until you get to Step #4. Run the Toner Motor test: Engine Diag > Motor Test > (C)(M)(Y)(K) Toner Motor. -- for the 6600, the motor test appears, but not the option to select cmyk:
When the augers run empty the toner in the developer located in the drum empties. When you replace the Drum there is toner in the developer. While it might solve the problem up front I'd be sceptical that it is a solution to the problem but a band Aid fix that might come back.

Fortway's sounds like a popular solution. But how do you do it for Phaser 6600? I found how to start it up in Diagnostic mode and think I selected the black motor and it said EXEC, but nothing happened.
I have actually asked for help from the Xerox tech people and some new parts are on their way, but if that doesn't help, I might come back to this. If anyone has successfully done the dispenser motor/auger thing on a 6600 I'd be grateful if you'd let me know the steps. Thank you.
A user named nivek shared this post and it has helped many people with many Phaser devices when nothing else did. Start with his post here
We have a Phaser 6600dn that we purchased about 4 months ago. Within the last few weeks, the black print has been getting fainter and fainter. We have changed out the toner several times, shaken the toner, made sure the paper type is set correctly and the paper meets the specifications. However, it continues to print grey instead of black both when printing internally and externally from PC. We are using genuine Xerox toner, and have only noticed it with the black toner. All the other colors are printing normally. I have tried every other suggestion I could find with nothing working.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?
Thanks!
