Re: Phaser 7400 U60 error code

Thanks mate,
I hear you 100% on the depending on solar & wind. It's nice to have some energy come from that, but just as an alternative.

After turning off and unplugging my Phaser 7400 overnight, it worked again yesterday & is humming along again now. I'm lucky for once, I guess.

Re: Phaser 7400 U60 error code

I'm afraid I have bad news.  It turned my 7400, with just 14000 copies on it, into a boat anchor.  I had a tech come over and take it apart, but the only place you can find the repair parts is on ebay.  I used my sawsall and a sledge hammer to tear it apart and tossed it into the dumpster.  Went back to HP.  That code I was told was the computer board that had gone bad.

And yes, the power grid is failing, not just in Texas.  You folks just got caught with your shorts down.  Too much reliance on wind and solar.  Here in CO, we arn't far behind.  Our grid is getting so unstable that I had to install a whole house surge protector, about 1k, to protect my high end electronics and too keep the smoke detectors from going off in the middle of the night.

I'd just junk the 7400.  Getting too hard to get other parts as well.

Good luck.

Re: Phaser 7400 U60 error code

I just got the same darn thing too & would say it's 99% because of the power rolling blackouts that they're doing to us here in Dallas now during this 0 degrees stretch of weather.
I can't/won't even turn on anything on like a computer or TV or printer because they go POOF at any moment, which is bad for all these electronics. I suspect this is what caused my printer to have this happen.

Was it fixable for you? And was it caused perhaps by a surge or power issue too?

Phaser 7400 U60 error code

Product Name: Phaser 7400
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Does anyone know how to fix a U60 error code on a Phaser 7400dn?  I really don't want to pay someone 300 just to come down and say hello.
