I have my Phaser 7500 for over seven months now. I am using Corel Draw X5, and color printing work quite well.
Few days ago, we relocated to a new office, and I made a 'mistake' to reinstall a new driver. I believe it is a new one as the interface is quite different than before. When we print our old files from CorelDraw x5, those colors (eg. gold in CYMK) are quite different now. Is there a way to fix this?
I have tried to export the file to PDF, and Let Printer determine colors (Adobe Reader), but it won't help. One strange thing is that when I use CorelFusion (PDF) to print it, the color back to what I expected, but this is not my permanent solution as Corel Fusion offer very few other options.
I did a re-install on Window (8.1 x64), and Corel Draw (x5) too, but still can't fix this problem.
Can anyone tell me what should I look for?
Solved! Go to Solution.
FYI, the different is the color become lighter.
Also, I don't see any problem on a color test print from the 7500.
Hi, are you still using the same LAPTOP/PC ? normally when you install the printer again with a new driver, the old driver is still present on your system ...
you can add the printer again, then DONT browse for a driver, but just select the one from the windows system , under xerox offcourse, then you should see all printers from xerox that are listed, also the "old" 7500 driver
Unfortunately I have re-installed the windows and all those drivers are gone. Currently I am using the diver "Phaser 7500DN V4 PS".
I just did another test on my friend's PC and printer by using my PDF file exported from Corel Draw X5. The color is what it supposed to be. So I guess I can narrow down to the driver, and printer.
Does anyone know where can I find those older drivers?
V4 is a Windows 8 and up "Class driver". You don't want those.
Use the Global V3 driver from here and you will likely get the same color as before an will get the old interface back.
I have open your link and see PCL5, and PCL6 versions. What is the different between those two?
