As for just randomly swapping parts, that is your decision.
The fuser or the belt should have a band going all the way around them if it happens to all colors.
Hmm, I'm not getting the option to print via uploaded file and that whole print dialogue box to the left is empty (see attached).
Cleaning the imaging units didn't work and swapping them didn't change where the line was.
The fuser looks good when I pop that green tab to look at it. Is there soemthing specific I should expect to see?
I just realized that I have a new fuser and belt assembly, as well as 4 used but working imaging units that the seller gave me. I'm wondering if I should just start swapping.

put its IP address in the address bar of any web browser, so wher eyou currently are seeing this
Replace it with the printer IP address
Print the attached pdf using the same method as above.
If the line happens to one color only, the imaging unit is bad for that color
If the line appears in all colors, the Fuser or belt/belt cleaner is at issue, in either case you should be able to physically see the defect on that unit. <Do not bring up the fact that it is a CMYK job that doesn't have K and is ordered CYM, I was tired and you can figure out solid black if need be ;-) >
So if there is an issue with Magenta for instance, open the front panel where the imaging unit is, for each one, there should be a little plastic stick at its lower right. Pull it out and in a few times and see if it gets rid of the line/band. Do the same for each color that is affected. If that does nothing, swap 2 imaging units and see if the problem follows the color, if it does, it will need to be replaced.
If none of that does stuffs, the issue must be in all colors, and it would be the fuser or belt/cleaner, which is not cheap.
But they can be found cheaper separately
I will add though, there will be no question if the Belt or fuser is the problem, you will absolutely be able to see the problem on either unit.
I changed over to the driver you recommended and the difference is night and day. See the attached comparison from V4 to V3.

I'm going ot press my luck here and see if I can get your expertise on one last issue.
I am getting a faint vertical line through my prints as well. Here is a picture and the line is slightly left of center. Any advice? This line was present witht he other driver as well.
If you are using a v4 driver, you need the Xerox Print Experience App.
I would suggest a v3 driver though, the GPD-PS should do nicely.
As for color management, it depends which adobe app, Reader for instance is via File > Print > Advanced
Acrobat will be similar, File > Print > Advanced > Color management
I think Indesign is File > Print > Color management
As a quick test, eliminate your PC, driver and application by submitting a pdf file direct via the web interface of the device
The paper is programmed using the tray management and picking the size and type of paper. I am also printing from Adobe but don't know how to let he printer manage the colors. When I go to advanced I can either use the default Adobe settings or play with custom settings.
As for the driver, it says Phaser 7500DT V4 PS.
The calibration pages look decent. Please see a shot of the last calibration page as well as a side by side of the Phaser print vs. another printer. You can see the headshot is way to bright and washed out.
Is the tray programmed specifically for the stock you loaded?
If it is an Adobe application, have you set it to let the printer manage color?
Postscript driver or PCL? Version 3 or 4?

I just bought a Phaser 7500DT with only 12,000 prints on it. It seems ot work fine but so far, I am unimpressed with the color. Pictures printed on real estate showsheet paper, regular A4, and thinck matte card stock all look washed out a bit. I have been using a much cheaper HP CP4025 and colors look supremely better. How can I troubleshoot this?
