Phaser 7500DT won't print Magenta at all but prints CYK

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Take the Magenta cartridge out of the machine and turn the machine off.  Power the machine back on with the cartridge out of the machine.  Once it shows the error that the cartridge is missing reinstall the cartridge.  If it still will not print magenta please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

I have installed a new magenta cartridge and now the printer won't print magenta at all.

I've done the magenta test page and it doesnt print any magenta.

any other colors printed are missing magenta eg. orange prints yellow, purple prints blue etc.

I removed the new cartridge and replaced with the old one, (which had not completely run out)

still the same thing happens. 

No Magenta is printing at all.

The printer hasn't been worked hard at all, it's done 12,000 pages since I bought it in March 2014.
So I am very surprised at this.

Cyan and Yellow are printing perfectly, but the black test page there is a thin grey vertical stripe all the way down the page about 2/3rds across the page

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!

I don't really want to call the service tech as its out of warranty

and after buying the new toner cartridge, I just dont have the money to pay a service tech!
